A serious road collision happened earlier today along Glenshane Pass is causing huge tailbacks and traffic disruption throughout this evening and won't open during rush hour tonight.
The serious road collision happened along the main route to Belfast on Glenshane Pass earlier today and has caused huge delays for drivers throughout the day.
The delays has also caused huge delays for Translink bus services.
In a recent update from Road Service: Glenshane Pass remains closed and will not reopen before rush hour traffic this evening due to an earlier road traffic collision. Motorists are advised to use Maghera, Garvagh and Limavady as the main diversionary route. Road surface temperatures in the area are expected to fall below freezing this evening so it is important that motorists follow this diversionary route.
So we reckon its best to try and avoid the area if you can and also disruption to Translink bus services throughout tonight.

Glenshane Pass collision has also caused huge delays and disruption to Translink bus services including 212/246 bus services.
These bus services will be diverted and will add extra time onto the journey but
Translink said that any customers bought bus tickets for these services can be used tonight on rail services if they wish to take the train instead.
