Foyle Paddlers event takes place this weekend
This weekend take a step back in time as Foyle Paddlers take you back in a fun history tour of the Foyle, discover why the vikings set up camp at Dunalong (The Long Fort) and how it later became an Elizabethan stronghold as big as Derry.

Discover why the Normans were interested in Greencastle and why Napoleon never got past Magilligan.
Plus visit the site of the Boom, retrace the route of the emigrant ships and discover the origin of many of the familiar place names which surround us today.

Feel Free to Dress up for the event as Foyle Paddlers head back in time..

All from the comfort, and fun!, of a guided Canoe. We will be providing all the equipment you need for the water, and we've plans for wee bite to eat on the journey as well!

Open to all ages, tickets however are limited on a first come first served basis.

Don't forget to bring these essentials on Saturday:

- A spare change of clothes, just in case!
- Trainers / old shoes that you dont mind getting damp.

The Foyle Paddlers Event takes place this Saturday 3rd October from 10.45am
