An Amazing Oscar-winning film comes to Limavady's Roe Valley Arts Centre this August.
The film traces the life of a young boy from early childhood to college. Using the same actors over a twelve year period, this unique and compelling film stars Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as Mason’s parents and newcomer Ellar Coltrane as Mason. It charts the rocky terrain of childhood like no other film has before. Snapshots of adolescence from road trips and family dinners to birthdays and graduations and all the moments in between become transcendent, set to a soundtrack spanning the years from Coldplay’s Yellow to Arcade Fire’s Deep Blue. Boyhood is both a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting.
Cinescape screenings are Parent and Baby Screenings designed for adults to enjoy films with their young babies. Lone adults will not be admitted to the screening. A total of two adults allowed per baby.
Screenings suitable for babies of 12 months or under in a relaxed environment, without worrying about making too much noise. Lights will be kept at a higher level to enable visibility for parents in the screening and the sound levels on the film will be slightly lower than normal.
Accompanying babies are free of charge.
Opening times:
Cin-Escape (parents and babies) screening : 11am
Cine-Club Screening: 7.30pm
Prices:
£3.00
