This week in the city it's all about Foyle Pride Festival and the days of a one day Pride event have long gone with a fill packed week of Pride events across the city. The events kicked off with the launch on Monday in Guildhall which showcased some of the highlights of the week to come with array of events taken place all week it's a week not to be missed in the city.
Some highlights to check out during this years Foyle Pride Festival include an exhibition on Miners supported by the local gay community which launches in The Social Shipquay Street on Tuesday. Also a treat for movie lovers on Thursday as Omniplex Cinema on Strand Road will show "Pride and the story that inspired it" which is award winning film by Steven Beresford which is a film worth seeing during pride week and not forgetting on Pride Day the parade will take off from Railway station in Waterside which starts at 2pm and will walk into the city centre followed by music in Guildhall Square by Paddy Nash, Best Boy Grip and much more on the day.
